We are but three days hence from the merriest gathering of the year—The Grand Festival approacheth swiftly, and our hearts brim with joy to welcome thee!
First, feast thine eyes upon this early glimpse of the festival map! A more detailed chart shall be unveiled anon, but for now, we share this so thou mayest know the lay of the land, the ways of parking, and where to claim thy tickets!
A gentle plea: We beseech thee—park not in the spaces around the most gracious Kickstands Bar & Grill. They have opened their arms to us, and we wish to honor their hospitality. They too host their own revels, and we would show them nothing but respect and courtesy.
Next, behold! The orange path upon the map leadeth to our parking fields. The light blue realm at the front is for our honored guests in need of ADA parking—pray, reserve it for them. Beyond it lieth ample parking for all others, and lo, it is free! Seek out the signs and show kindness to our brave traffic stewards.
Thirdly, that bold orange and red zone is the Grand Eatery! There shalt thou find all manner of food wagons and a place to dine under shaded skies. Partake in thy festival favorites, and let thy bellies be glad!
Fourth, the noble purple handbags mark our ticket booths. There mayest thou acquire thy passage into the realm! The great blue expanse? That is our enchanted festival grounds—filled with performers, jousters, games, merchants, and merriment galore! The lands are flat and travel-friendly for all, with gravel roads to ease thy journey. The second ticket booth, near the tavern, is for those wishing to partake in Kickstands’ legendary fare and spirits—aye, we dream oft of their fried deviled eggs!
Fifth—and let it not be forgotten— the weather doth promise a sun-kissed Saturday and a cooler, perhaps rainy Sunday. Be thou prepared! Bring thy sunscreen, thy parasol, or whatever thou needest to revel in comfort. Shaded rest, cooling stations, and green grasses await all who seek reprieve.

Important Announcement from the Black Hills Renaissance Festival
Dear friends and supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the dissolution of our collaboration with the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce. While we made every effort to maintain a positive and respectful relationship, we have come to the difficult decision to part ways in order to protect the integrity and future of the Black Hills Renaissance Festival.
Over the past several weeks, we worked to negotiate a fair and mutually respectful agreement. Unfortunately, those negotiations have come to a standstill. Without clear protections for the Black Hills Renaissance Festival and its owners—Shareece Tatum, Knoah Calvert, and Victoria Izquierdo—we simply cannot move forward under the current terms.
This decision has not been made lightly, and we are saddened by the outcome. That said, this is not the end. We are moving in a new direction and working diligently to secure a new location, to keep our original dates of June 21st and 22nd. We will provide confirmation of the new venue as soon as possible.
We respect the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce’s decision and sincerely wish them all the best in their future endeavors. We kindly ask that our supporters do not reach out to the Chamber regarding this matter—please allow us to handle all communications moving forward.
Ticket Information:
The Lead Area Chamber of Commerce will be issuing refunds to all current ticket holders. We will be releasing a new ticketing link directly through us—these tickets will be more affordable with lower fees.
To Our Vendors and Performers:
You are still with us! We are incredibly grateful for your patience and loyalty. We have exciting new opportunities ahead and are working hard to ensure an even better experience for you.
We understand this may cause some confusion or stress, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience. But rest assured—
The Black Hills Renaissance Festival is not going anywhere.
We are simply evolving, and our new home will be announced very soon.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
With appreciation,
The Black Hills Renaissance Festival Team
